What do we love about this wine, beyond its beauty, is its matchlessness. No other wine from the Santa Cruz Mountains represents this part of our appellation. The final blend (82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11 % Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc, 2% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec) combines the historical grapes of Bordeaux sourced from impeccable local vineyard sites, either farmed or supervised by our Mount Eden team.
This wine has intense black cherry, red currant, and indescribable "walk in our forest" aromas. Youthful on the palate with abundant tannins, the flavors of deep currant, blueberry, and earth are penetrating. Expect a beautiful evolution over the next two decades.
