2018 Domaine Eden Pinot Noir, Santa Cruz Mountains

Back in 2008 our first Domaine Eden Pinot Noir was created and in the decade from 2008 to 2018 we have learned so much about this vineyard and the remarkable aging potential these Pinot Noirs show. Two years ago, we hosted a 34-year vertical tasting of our Estate Pinots with renowned wine critic Antonio Galloni. All the wines going back to 1983 were vigorous and delicious. There is the same trajectory for our Domaine Pinot. Ten years after vintage, the aromas exhibit complex fragrance and are deeply satisfying on the palate.
2018 has rich aromas of red raspberry, blueberry, and wild anise—moist earth dance on the nose. Firm and slightly tannic on the palate, the flavors are concentrated, intense and totally youthful. The density of flavors are hard to separate, yet it predicts a long evolution in the bottle. Gorgeous.
